Carolina Arts Café + Studios is a welcoming, community-centered creative space designed to make art accessible, joyful, and woven into everyday life. Part art café, part studio, part neighborhood living room, we exist to invite people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to come as they are and make something.
We believe art isn’t reserved for the trained or the “talented.” Art is for the curious. For the stressed. For the playful. For the healing. For the kid inside all of us.
What We Are
Carolina Arts Café + Studios is a walk-in creative experience. No pressure. No perfection. No prerequisites.
Inside our space, you’ll find:
- Open art-making stations with rotating mediums like painting, collage, mixed media, fiber, printmaking, and more
- Used, surplus, and discounted art supplies—because creativity shouldn’t be cost-prohibitive
- Studio workshops and guided experiences for individuals, families, and groups
- Community tables where strangers become collaborators
- A warm, maximalist environment that celebrates color, texture, play, and creative mess
What We’re Becoming
Carolina Arts Café + Studios is growing alongside the community it serves. In the future, the space will also include:
- Art therapy and music therapy sessions led by licensed professionals
- Creative wellness programming for stress relief, healing, and self-expression
- Private studio spaces for therapists, teaching artists, and creative practitioners
- Camps, classes, and seasonal programs for children, teens, and adults
Our long-term vision is to be a hub where creativity, mental health, education, and community connection intersect.
Why We Exist
We started Carolina Arts Café + Studios because too many people stop making art—not because they want to, but because life tells them they should. Because they’re “not good at it.” Because they don’t have the supplies. Because they don’t have the space. Because they don’t have the time.
We’re here to change that narrative.
Art doesn’t have to be productive.
