Homeschool Art Lab
Homeschool Art Lab is more than a weekly art class—it’s an invitation to become part of the studio. Students enjoy flexible, homeschool-friendly art education in a welcoming community space.
Program Overview
Each week, students receive two hours of guided art instruction, scheduled Wednesday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Families choose the two-hour time that works best for them, and the schedule can change from week to week to fit the rhythms of homeschool life.
During guided instruction, students explore a wide range of media and techniques, including painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, mixed media, textile arts, sculpture, glass, and more. Projects are designed to build skills, encourage experimentation, and help each student develop an individual artistic voice.
But the learning doesn’t end when the lesson does. Once enrolled in Homeschool Art Lab, students become part of the Carolina Arts Café + Studios community and may drop in and work independently in the studio anytime we are open. They can continue a project, practice a new technique, experiment with materials, build their portfolio, or simply spend time making art in a creative environment.
Program Details at a Glance
Enrollment: Students enroll in Homeschool Art Lab on a recurring basis and receive one two-hour guided session each week.
Schedule: Guided sessions are available Wednesday–Friday, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Families choose the time that works best for them, and their selected time may vary from week to week based on availability.
Tuition: $25 per week / $100 per month
Materials Fee: $135 per semester
Studio Access: Enrollment includes access to the studio during regular open hours, giving students additional time to continue projects and work independently outside their guided session.
